Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks Custom Tours
This is an awesome two day custom private tour to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. This tour usually passes through a portion of the Painted Desert, past the breath-taking vermilion cliffs, and Navajo family compounds and cornfields Click HERE for CUSTOM PRIVATE TOUR PRICE information On our first stop breakfast is served in the Cameron Trading Post and Museum. The dining room features a view of the Little Colorado River Gorge and displays fine Indian arts and crafts. After dining, you will want to browse this historic and authentic trading post to see or purchase quality Southwest Indian art. At open air booths along the way, Native American artisans display a variety of crafts including rugs, pottery, and jewelry. They will gladly pose for photographs along with their works. A trip across the Navajo Bridge by foot at Marble Canyon allows for a vertical view of the great Colorado River. Here you may even see rafts floating under the bridge or the newly released California Condors soaring above the Vermilion Cliffs. At Lee's Ferry you can visit the ruins of the early settlers in this region. You will take a short walk to the "Lonely Dell Ranch" in the Lee's Ferry historic district at the mouth of the Paria River. Across the river to the south are the jagged Echo Peaks. On October 21, 1871, three men from John Wesley Powell's second expedition climbed the peaks and, out of curiosity, shot a pistol at the river 2500 feet below. The sharp report was followed by a 24-second silence after which a rattling echo was hurled back - hence the name. Lee's Ferry is now the launching point for the thousands who come each year to discover the thrills of white water rafting through the Grand Canyon. Zion National Park offers steep solid granite walls, overhanging cliffs, rock formations, many trails, and a wide array of waterfalls within a spectacular canyon. Transportation within the park is now limited to the busses provided by the park service, unless you have reservations at Zion Lodge. The brightly colored red rock formations of Bryce Canyon National Park stretch for miles along the edge of a nine thousand foot high plateau mountain top. This geologic masterpiece of pinnacles, spires and "hoodoos" make for some wonderful photo opportunities. Early morning light causes these formations to have a transparent glowing look. Bryce is especially beautiful after a freshly fallen snow. Several hiking trails begin at the rim. Some of the trails allow for a relatively short photographic walk through the most unusual formations you will ever see anywhere. Most of the cabins and motel rooms located in the park are also just a short walk to the rim for a view of the sunrises and sunsets. For more information go to our "Custom Private Tours" page.
